Prometheus: Prometheus was a Titan that stole fire from Olympus and gave it to humankind in order to defy Zeus. For punishment, he chained Prometheus to a rock, making an eagle eat his liver, which grew back daily – Hercules freed him from this punishment. Narcissus:Narcissus was a beautiful boy that had a spell cast on him, making him fall in love with himself. He only thought about and stared at himself until he eventually came to his own demise.
The Golden Fleece:Ino wanted to to kill her step-child Phrixis, but failed when he was saved by a golden ram. Phrixus sacrificed the ram to Zeus, and gave its pelt (the Golden Fleece) to Aeetes. Aeetes placed the fleece in an oak tree, where it remained until Jason and the Argonauts claimed it.
Pygmalion and Galatea:Pygmalion sculpted a statue named Galatea and fell in love with her. Aphrodite brought the stature to life and he married it.
Cupid and Psyche:Psyche was more beautiful than Venus was so Cupid had to make her fall in love with a monster. He falls for her instead and secretly visits/marries her. She thinks he is a monster and tries to kill him. They make up and live happily ever after.Daphne:Apollo offended Eros. He shot Apollo with a love arrow and Daphne with an arrow that made her unable to love anyone. Apollo pursued her endlessly until Daphne turned into a laurel tree.
Perseus:Perseus was the son of Zeus. He obtained an invisible cloak, a magical sword, winged sandals, and stole the eye of the 3 ancient Hags; he killed Medusa with these. On his way home, he saved a princess by killing a sea monster that was about to eat her and took her as his bride. When he came home, he turned the king to stone and claimed the throne.
Theseus:Theseus was a young man who left clues to find his father, the King. He was put through many challenges, overcoming them all, and finally finding his father.
Hercules:Hercules was the mortal son of Zeus and the strongest mortal in the entire land. He went to many places, fighting monsters and freeing people to be later immortalized by the gods
